These last few weeks have been a world wind of activity. We haven’t forgotten about you all in blog land!

We headed week before last for Lancaster, PA and New Jersey for a string of 4 concerts. They went well and we are thankful for the opportunities we had to minister! Amish country was beautiful and the fellowship was great!

Even our breakdown wasn’t horrible as the part that fell off didn’t cripple us!

Thank the Lord for onboard mechanics.

Heading out again on Friday we sang in our own home town! That was special!

TO BE CONTINUED!

We’ve had a delightful weekend in Maine and traveling to and fro on the lovely scenic highways, fishing, shopping at Wal-Mart, meeting new people, reuniting with old friends, and last but not least, singing!

Our weekend started Thursday night as we left for Seabrook and spent the night. Bright and early on Friday before most of us even thought of crawling out of our bunks we started north for Maine. What a beautiful day for traveling!

Katahdin was gorgeous as always. It still had snow on it!

The pretty purple and white wildflowers made a beautiful contrast with the rich green grass.

We’re sitting next to Mars Hill getting fuel as I type this. On the top of Mars Hill are a bunch of windmills.

Photobucket

The ribbon of highway kept going on and on….

….and then we reached Presque Isle!

Photobucket

I think on my map of Presque Isle should have a BIG red heart around it. When we arrived at Wal-Mart we found that not only did they have a fabric department that escaped the giant fabric removal program (Wal-Mart is removing fabric from all their stores) but it’s selection was outstanding. : D

Our bus made it’s way to Fort Fairfield, the home of the Maine Potato Blossom Festival.

Photobucket

Some friendly folks from there met us and brought us to their house. It was a nice welcome!! We could see Canada from their house….

Photobucket

See those white houses? Those are Canadian Custom houses.
Mr. and Mrs. Flannery Graciously had invited us to go fishing in their stocked fresh water pond. And what a time we had!! The fish at times were churning the water.

We were all quite tickled to catch quite a few trout.

Yum!

We ate hamburgers and hot dogs and fixings after the strenuous (not really) fishing. :D Mr. Field Mouse surprised us and scurried around the rafters hardly making a noise but trembling profusely. :)

Thanks, friends!

I took a few flower pictures….

The pretty little blue dragonfly like things were plentiful!

Wave goodbye guys!

Photobucket

We said goodbye and thank you and headed down the road for the pole barn where we would be playing the next morning.

Nancy and Steve who work tirelessly to put this event on greeted us.

We were amused to see the beard growing contest in the Potato Blossom Festival schedule. :)

Photobucket

Vincent jokingly stated that they would have to shave right before they registered (½ hour before the judging) and then the judges would get their micrometers out and see who’s could grow the fastest in half an hour. ; )

Another beautiful day was coming to a close at the pole barn…

Bonnie and Vincent……………..broccoli farmers?? :)

Fields and field of broccoli!

Turning in early for the night we tried to rest up for the next day….
For the change this year we sang first instead of last. It was great since we didn’t have to collect tired and hot kids later in the afternoon!! Our hour had soon gone by and we sat back and enjoyed the LaClaires.

Photobucket

We found our way to behind the out building and then the fun of jamming and arranging began!

Photobucket

We eventually got our own tent (thanks to Steve) and we caught a few other folks from the other singing groups and we had a sweet time of singing and playing. It’s wonderful to have fellowship over music with other Christians you had never met before!

Photobucket

Pretty soon the day was over…and we tried to get to bed at a good hour again.
On Sunday morning we sang at State Street Baptist and this afternoon we sang at Caribou United Baptist. It was wonderful to be back and fellowship, even if it was only briefly with them.

We found the RV dump in Caribou and now we’re headed to Poland to visit the Denny’s. My eyelids feel heavy. . . .

EDIT: We're home now! But, we're headed out again this week! Thanks for your prayers as we pack and plan for another weekend on the road.

Large apologizes to you all who check back for regular posts!

We hope you all had a great 4th of July! We spent the day relaxing and catching up and catching glimpses of the local fireworks.

In June we had two birthdays!

Matthew turned 13!

Photobucket

Peter turned 17!

Photobucket

We are so blessed to have these guys! Matthew is the techie you can count on to help with all your computer and electronic needs. He’s also graciously allowed us to use his laptop while we’re fixing the one that was fried in an electric storm.

Peter's strength is a huge blessing as he moves and chops a lot of firewood. He’s very handy at riding the motorcycle to the store and picking up eggs. He’s also the tallest MacDonald so far!
As June was drawing to a close we visited Pilgrim Pines and enjoyed their generous hospitality and a great audience!

Photobucket

This obviously was before the audience arrived. :D

We met up with old friends and made new ones. What a blessing to sing the Lord’s praise and encourage one another in the faith.

Thus we end the month of June and enter into the gloriously warm month of July! Rain and thunder storms have been the theme for the month of June, a trend which may or may not continue as we journey through July.

Saturday we had the Camuso family over for a cookout. What a nice treat to visit with them even if the rain clouds kept us indoors for the meal. We had a great time of fellowship and getting to know each other better.

Sunday, July 6th, we traveled to Keene Assembly to hear the talented Bob Thompson.

Photobucket

He shared a wonderful message in song and Word. Isn’t it absolutely amazing and wonderful how God directs His people and uses them to minister so directly to needs?
We went over to the Camuso’s house after dinner on the grounds at church.

The kids played….
