Happy New Year!

Time goes so quickly. 2007 is rapidly coming to a close...

.... and another year is about to begin!

We thank the Lord for providing and protecting us this year. His hand is so gracious and loving. May you all draw closer to our loving Savior as you seek Him in your life.

1 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good.
His love endures forever.
2 Give thanks to the God of gods.
His love endures forever.
3 Give thanks to the Lord of lords:
His love endures forever.
4 to him who alone does great wonders,
His love endures forever.
5 who by his understanding made the heavens,
His love endures forever.
6 who spread out the earth upon the waters,
His love endures forever.
7 who made the great lights—
His love endures forever.
8 the sun to govern the day,
His love endures forever.
9 the moon and stars to govern the night;
His love endures forever.

The time for us to pack up and take off on another adventure to the south is steadily creeping up. Just a few more weeks and we’ll be on the road for 9 weeks. This is all Lord willing, of course. Lots of things must be done in the ‘in between time.’ Your prayers are appreciated!

Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.
Psalm 55:22 niv

They will celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness.

Of Roads and Roosters

Well….. The roads were great!

The two snow blowers we had saved years of our backs, for sure!

The only time we started to slip was right outside the driveway of the place we were singing. PTL!

Our next concert it tonight and everything looks like a go so far. Sunday morning looks like another story!

The time has come to start thinking about a home for Charles (ie, Tweetalizer, Drumstick, etc., etc). He is free to a good home. : )

Resting on Matthew's lap.

He loves potatoes, corn , popcorn, spaghetti, snow (lol) and various other food items. He enjoys being around people however music makes him shake his head. (He hears a lot of it around here.) We’re trying to cure him of his crowing habit, but it seems our meager attemps of 'shhhhhh, don't do that!' aren't working very well. : P Some of his favorite pastimes include dust baths, cleaning floors ( he really likes that), walks outdoors, roosting, and pecking at buttons and feet. See him featured on a video at youtube.

We are going to try to get the bus up the hill, provided it starts!

That was a few hours ago. The pavement is wet now. Yay! We'll let you all know what happens. :)

Sore Throats

The person responsible for blogging on this blog apologizes for the lack of blog posts. The resident photographer feels uninspired to take photographs and she extend her apologies to the readership.

Now to the news! The MacDonald family has been busy trying to getting better. We came down with horrible sore throats Thanksgiving Day and we are still dealing with raw and tired voices on Sunday.

Bonnie’s guitar string popped in half in the middle of “What Child is This?.“ That was an exciting highlight. She made it through the whole rest of the songs working the strings she had left.

We were very thankful we didn’t have to cancel the whole concert on Sunday. The way the bus is parked we have to travel up a hill to get out to the main road. Snow and ice on the hill make it very slippery. With a storm blowing in tomorrow night we hope our next concert on Friday night we be a ‘go.’

Victor (dad) was doing a little better but is now back to full blown pain, nauseating waves from his stomach, and diarrhea. The cold hit him hard but he seems to have pulled out of the constant coughing and general discomfort from being ill. The doctor, who saw him this week, told him not to loose any more weight. I think if he knew of a way to keep weight on he would have found it by now. We continue to seek the Lord for His healing touch on our bus driver.

Thanks all for your prayers.

Love,

The MacDonald Family

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

Isaiah 40:29-31 niv
